Thank you!
We just hit 5000visitors!
Thanks for your support and please visit often and post your thoughts.
Yes! You are a Bat Kohain or a Kohenet who has stricter moral expectations. A bat Kohain is only supposed to marry a Talmud Chacham (learned man) or another Kohain. The entire priestly family has a high moral code which it must live up to. Welcome!
On the subject of stricter moral expectations, the talmud says that if you commit adultery, you get hot lava poured down your throat. Well, not all kohenets, only the daughters of the chief kohen.
Welcome to the tribe! Well, we're not really a tribe. Shabbat shalom!
WoW! This is the first time I have felt recognized. Thank you for that explanation.
Actually, not only did I not marry a Talmud Chacham, but I married someone who just sits and eats while I light candles on Friday night. I have tried to 'enlighten' him, but to no avail! Considering we will be married for 25 years next week, I have to settle for his ways, it seems.
Barbar, do not give up! This is the era when children will bring the parents back. My own parents just kashered their kitchen after years of pork and shrimp.
You will be blessed in all your endeavors. Good Shabbos and have a good Yom Tov!
