Am I Over the Line?

Smooth Stone (someone whom I greatly respect) and I seem to be at odds regarding evangelical Christian support of Israel.

Please visit his informative site and scroll down to "Televangelist Zola Levitt in life struggle vs. cancer." Read all the comments and feel free to chime in here. I don't want to take up any more space on his site as I think I am grating on his nerves (sorry Smooth!).

The man in question is Zola Levitt, a Jewish born convert to Christianity who preaches on television. From the Zola Levitt Ministries website:

What We Believe

Zola Levitt Ministries, Inc., is a non-profit 501(c) organization guided by the standard of Romans 1:16 — “To the Jew first and also to the Gentile.”

We hold to a strictly literal and inerrant Bible interpretation, salvation through Christ alone, a soon pre-tribulation Rapture of all believers and the establishment of a thousand-year kingdom on Earth.

The evangelism of the unbelievers and the exhortation of the believers take precedence over all other activities of this ministry. (emphasis mine)

I mean, come on... I sincerely do not disrespect Christians as a whole. I do feel, however, that the true motives of Evangelical and Apocalyptic Christians in regard to their support of Israel must be brought to light. I don't appreciate being a pawn in their Armageddon scenarios.

Prove me wrong.

My friend, Judah, you did nothing wrong at all, you did not offend me, you did not cross the line, please do not feel agrieved, for that is one thing I never want anyone to feel. I would never look down upon you or pass judgement on you. I have more respect for you than you know. I hope you will accept my reassurance because it is from my heart. As for what we discussed on my site, my point was twofold; 1) I wanted to pray for a dying Christian who dedicated the last 20 years of his life to educating non-Jews by producing television documentaries about how horribly Arab Muslims have treated Jews and Israel, and 2) to distinguish that there is a difference between the RCC Christian and the Evangelical Christian. One of the more significant notes to acknowlede is that while Christians as a whole have betrayed us in the past, and while ancient history is a fascinating subject, the current jihad is a bit more pressing. It is true that the Reformation changed Christianity's attitude and it occurred centuries ago.
Islam has not and will not experience a Reformation because it is immutable by design, with a special safety feature built right in by its diabolical creator, Muhammad. THere is nothing alike between Christianity and Islam, although our greatest enemy in the last century was of course a mad homocidal German Catholic. But the concept of jihad is unique to Islam. It is the only religion specifically designed to wage endless war until it subjugates the entire world. That is its manifest destiny. G-d Forbid if we should ever hear about Christians beheading the enemies of Jesus, then I will change my tune, believe me. We are all familiar with the Bible and Christianity's history, neither of which is relevant to Islam's immutable doctrine and today's events. The key word is today.

Again Judah, please do not feel badly about anything. You and I are on the same team, and I am glad that we are covering each other's backs. ;)

Why is it that holders of a certain rapture view don't want to be on earth during the time of "Jacob's trouble" to encourage them and rejoice with them when everlasting righteousness comes in? A timely web piece that all should read is "Pretrib Rapture Diehards" (found by Googling). Jon
